Nice truck! I found more interest in this truck than in any sports car or super luxury cruiser I've padded about in lately. Go figure. I can tell you this red RAM really turned heads. Our tester was the Sport model, which meant short bed, short wheelbase, big V8 and relative lightness. Bright chrome mags set off a brilliant red paint job for a dashing "on my way to the fire" look. I can just see some hunky fireguy behind the wheel. I'm not a fireguy, of course, and normally I don't much care for trucks, but I sure liked this one. Tell you why.
Lots of punch & pick up. Push down that cowboy boot and feel the kick in the seat of your pants. After tooling around in under powered economy cars or a high winding sportster, one can always appreciate real American V8 power. You'll find it here. The huge 26 gallon gas tank and moderate appetite for fuel were welcome surprises.
Hard workin', easy livin'. Ready to do real work and keep you happy too. For a pickup, utility was first rate, thanks to the man size cab. Condo couch seating, great, comfortable, multi-adjustable with a fold-down armrest/super neat bin organizer, big enough for a powerbook. All kinds of utility cleverness, back wall binganizer, Nashville ready stereo. A big lever shifts a neat 5 speed, handling is kinda trucky but the highway ride was OK. This truck is all right.
RAM Sport - a most driveable, most enjoyable, cute, good, honest truck. No foolin'.
